Selling on the Internet is a fast growing business that is here to
stay. For a new company it could be a good idea to set-up a Web page
and to see if there is any reaction to your product. Of course there
are drawbacks to this method, as it has to be possible for the buyer to
find the product on the Internet. But with E-Commerce and with the
right links, there is a possibility that a new company, with the right
product, could be very successful with on-line selling either direct to
the customer or to the retailer. There are buying offices that have
virtual showrooms which show the product and sell to the customer
without ever having direct contact. Just as mail order is an important
sales method, so will the Internet in time, become a major sales outlet
that will be in everyone’s home.
