•Self-published a series of self-help books (Harder Publications), including ‘Fashion for Profit’ 10th edition, which is consider by many as THE go to extensive textbook that covers the A-Z to starting an apparel business: www.fashionforprofit.com.

• Serves as a global apparel expert to the United Nations and private sector clients for apparel related businesses, including Peru, Nepal, China, Guatemala, Australia, Turkey, Japan, UK, Germany, and South Africa.

•Prior design experience includes: “Frances Harder” [name under license in Japan 1993 - 1996], designed and consulted to “Priscilla Presley” for HSN, - consulted & designed active sportswear for the Royal House of Brunei, Owner and Creative Director of “Toggs” pre-teens and “Malani Lingerie”.

• 35+ years experience as a respected fashion educator, including 9 years Associate Professor at Otis College of Art & Design, 8 years Faculty Member at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandise (FIDM). Adjunct Professor Woodbury University & Cal Poly Pomona, instructor at LA Trade Tech, Pasadena City Community College and Seattle Central Community College. 

• Consults internationally, presents workshops and many seminars on product development, branding, merchandising, production procedures, exporting and entering the US market.

• Serves as an industry expert in fashion related legal disputes, Cal Poly Dean’s advisory board, member of the District Export Council (DEC) and Southern California Business Incubator.
