Frances Harder

An industry expert and educator has published a series of books dealing with starting a fashion business.  Fashion for Profit, Costing for Profit, Brand Building for Profit and Forms for Profit are industry focused texts used both by new companies and for further education programs.

She was the Founder/President of the FBI (Fashion Business Incorporated) 1999- 2017.  Educational 501c3, which provided vital business development and certified job retraining programs to the US apparel industry.

Through her many international presentations and consultations, she was asked to serve as a United Nations consultant for small businesses producing Alpaca products in Peru and Cashmere products in Nepal. Consults and speaks internationally on product development, branding, merchandising, production and entering the US market.

Her past design experience includes two lines for Priscilla Priestley that sold on Home Shopping, designing active sportwear for the Sultan of Brunei and having her name under license in Japan for a higher end contemporary line.

Currently she also serves as an industry expert in industry related legal disputes.  Adjunct professor Cal Poly Pomona and taught full time at Otis College of Art & Design, as well FIDM, LA Trade Tech among others. She served as a member of the Southern California District Export Council (SCDEC).

Rebecca Morando

Rebecca Morando is a student intern for Fashion For Profit. As an intern she enters data into FFP’s email database and assists in posting content onto Fashion For Profit social media channels. She is currently a senior year at San Pedro High School. After she graduates she will attend Los Angeles Harbor College. She is extremely interested in pursuing a career in graphic design or as an advertiser or marketer in the fashion industry.
